ABOUT

BEGINnINGS

Starting in the 1970s, several Fremont County Mayors began informally meeting to discuss and address challenges in Fremont County. These efforts were so effective, that in 1983 the Town of Dubois, Fremont County Commissioners, Town of Hudson, City of Lander, Town of Pavillion, City of Riverton and Town of Shoshoni formed the Fremont County Association of Governments.

ORGANIZATION

The Fremont County Association of Governments is a State of Wyoming Joint Powers Board comprised of the elected Fremont County Mayors, and a County Commissioner. It is the governing board for the Wind River Transportation Authority and Fremont County Project Independence.

MEETINGS

The Fremont County Association of Governments meets monthly on the 4th Thursday. The location of the meeting rotates, as each member hosts the board meetings throughout the year. All FCAG meetings are open to the public.
